Chakra stones are stones and crystals that have specific healings, colors, and vibrational frequencies. These stones have specific colors that can help heal the body and also have vibrations that can bring energy and protect those that use them.
When we speak of the chakras, it is normally only the seven chakras that are talked about but really there are thousands of different chakras such as major and minor ones. There are seven major ones that are normally discussed.

There are some stones that have different colors that fit the chakras. Some crystals are going to be clear, brown, and black. The chakras that make up the heart chakra are part of the spiritual being and the etheric body. These stones are high vibrational stones and can help you in many healing situations.
The stones that have high vibrations are powerful and dramatic crystals. Other stones can heal certain areas, but they also will have flecks of different colors through them. The lower chakras such as the base chakras and the earth chakra are associated with brown and black crystals.

Chakra Kit
Sometimes, you will see that even if you have your own kit or if you buy one that you are attracted to one or more of the stones. This is a reaction that happens, and this happens because that is the part of your body that probably needs healed and so the spirit world is connecting you with that stone.
The chakra kit will have at least seven stones and that means one will be for each of the major chakra areas in your body. If there are eight stones, this means one is for the higher heart chakra and the other chakras, one for each.
